Removals France Modern Slavery Statement

This Modern Slavery Statement is made by Removals France in recognition of our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our business operations and supply chains. We are committed to conducting our activities with integrity, transparency and respect for human rights, and we expect the same high standards from all parties with whom we work.

Modern slavery, encompassing slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, is a serious violation of fundamental human rights. Removals France recognises that the logistics and removals sector can be exposed to risks related to vulnerable workers, labour intermediaries and complex supply chains. We are therefore dedicated to actively identifying, managing and mitigating such risks.

Our Zero-Tolerance Policy

Removals France maintains a clear and strict zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not accept any form of forced, bonded or involuntary labour in our own operations or in those of our suppliers and partners. We prohibit child labour that does not meet legal minimum working age requirements and we will not knowingly work with any organisation that engages in exploitative or abusive labour practices.

All employees, managers, contractors and suppliers are required to uphold this policy. Any breach, or suspected breach, of our zero-tolerance position is treated as a serious matter and may result in termination of employment or commercial relationships, and, where appropriate, referral to relevant authorities.

Our Supply Chain and Supplier Audits

Our supply chain includes transportation partners, vehicle and equipment providers, storage facilities, packing material suppliers and various service providers that support our removals operations. We recognise that visibility across the supply chain is essential to preventing modern slavery.

Removals France is progressively enhancing supplier due diligence processes. We conduct risk-based assessments of current and prospective suppliers to identify areas where the risk of modern slavery may be higher. This includes reviewing ownership structures, recruitment practices, use of subcontractors, worker documentation and overall labour conditions.

Where appropriate, we conduct supplier audits, either directly or through qualified third parties. These audits may involve site visits, worker interviews and review of records. Suppliers are expected to cooperate fully and to demonstrate compliance with all applicable labour and human rights laws. If non-compliance or risk indicators are identified, we work with suppliers on corrective action plans, with clear timelines and measurable outcomes. Persistent or serious non-compliance may lead to the ending of commercial relationships.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing Channels

Removals France encourages a culture in which concerns about modern slavery, exploitation or unethical behaviour can be raised without fear of retaliation. Employees, contractors, temporary workers and external stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspicion or evidence of modern slavery within our operations or supply chain.

Concerns can be raised verbally to line managers, to senior management or through existing internal reporting channels. Individuals are also encouraged to raise issues with our human resources and compliance functions. All reports are treated seriously and handled sensitively. Where requested and reasonably possible, confidentiality is respected.

We do not tolerate victimisation or retaliation against any person who, in good faith, raises a concern or participates in an investigation. All allegations are assessed and, where appropriate, investigated. Confirmed instances of wrongdoing are addressed promptly, including remedial actions to protect affected individuals and prevent recurrence.

Training, Awareness and Continuous Improvement

To support the effective implementation of our modern slavery commitments, Removals France provides targeted training and guidance to relevant staff, including managers, operational teams and those involved in procurement and supplier management. Training covers the nature of modern slavery, signs of exploitation, reporting processes and our expectations of suppliers and partners.

We aim to embed respect for human rights into our everyday decision making and working practices. This includes integrating modern slavery considerations into contract terms, supplier selection, performance reviews and risk management frameworks.

Monitoring and Annual Review

Removals France is committed to regularly reviewing and improving our approach to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking. This statement, along with our associated policies and procedures, is reviewed at least annually by senior management.

The annual review considers changes in law, emerging best practice, the effectiveness of our existing controls, feedback from stakeholders and any incidents or concerns reported during the period. Where necessary, we enhance our processes, update contractual requirements, refine audit methodologies and expand training to address identified gaps.

This Modern Slavery Statement reflects the steps taken by Removals France to identify, prevent and address modern slavery risks within our business and supply chains. It is approved by the leadership of Removals France and represents our ongoing commitment to ethical conduct, respect for human dignity and continuous improvement.
